My New Album: Making It Believable

As a young musician searching for new ways and developmental strategies, I have come to know a bunch of how music can become conceptually a piece of delicacy. On this journey, music has innately committed its wonderous effects of calm satisfaction through the difficulties of my regular workdays and not-so-well moments in the creation process. From my past experience being in the top wind-ensembles in the state of Georgia and playing with the top performers, I can say music is a companion I hold and trust dearly, but now that assertion is changing and I would like to discuss the outcomes. I must state that while making music, I have acquired more ability to listen deeply to what I am constructing, and the more I attenuate the miniscule details of the rhythmical passages, I start to see implications of my own life journey. I will explain each song I have made as a point of reference when listening because the songs correlate with a certain meaning and situation on my journey. Also, have no obligation to withdrawn opinion. What you feel in the song can be your own implication of what you can pair or relate any part of your life struggles or successes. Lets begin.... MAKIN' IT BELIEVABLE!!!

1. FROM ORIGIN - This song is a creation from what I believe is the source of my losses/achievements and what could be more possible accomplishments. I had in mind the past and present and how I have managed to be here at the very moment (Spiritually). From being young making mistakes and learning to making more conscious decisions on how to survive and thrive in the world as a young black man is the basis for the development of the song. As it initiates as powerful chord movements and unique sounds to a rhythmic beat, I symbolized my growth as an immature boy to being a positive, successful role model for people.

2. NONCHALANT TROD - During teenage years I have definitely taken for granted the easy-going, non-demanding tasks of the adolescent responsibilities. It seemed like everything was in cohesion, like constant growth without much tension with thinking to do things on my own. It felt like everything just flowed as the music conveys. While in high school, as this subject was in mind while constructing this song, I had a great musical foundation built being in the band, and, overall, everything seemed to be a systematic flow of naturalistic thinking and gaining concepts of life itself. I went on to college to study and enjoy my life even further, but somehow I am slipping into another side of life. Taking for granted the things that were given as a means of support for myself; a home, family, well-known high school and band program, sufficient funds, I was unaware of how fast these life essentials could be excavated. While not taking care of my schooling and being completely focused on my own, I thwarted myself in the wrong direction. Somehow I could not see the changes right away, even though life was still normal. This song conveys the message that while being completely submerged in the unknown with my own two eyes in what I saw that was appealing, the world I could not see was falling apart.

3. SO UNAWARE - This song demonstrates the disadvantages of of being trapped in the unknown, not knowing how to manage the difficulties and wanting to give in. My own journey I want to portray, through the sounds of the melody, are at this moment the times when I could not stop my dilemma. Its already too late, the results of my negligent behavior have become consequences and there is no way through what I am dealing with. I have no choice but to keep treading and marching through the unknown (could be any source of negativity). Somehow there is always hope in which I try to display in this song and the fight between the unknown and optimism. I give a special recognition to the groove it has for showing this relationship.

4. WHAT'S LEFT? - Now after the fight and surrendering to the unknown, its time to reconsider some more options for my journey. Why am I stuck in the same depressing stages of noncommitment. Am I satisfied working for someone else and not accumulating any worth for myself? What options should I take? How do I overcome the misery being back in the same place I started only this time I am well aware of the things I took advantage of. The melody of this song pertains to the absence of interactions with outside world. It attempts to show the struggle I have had contemplating giving up or deciding to march on through the continuous forces of remorseful regret.

5. ENVISAGED - After all there is still hope, and I found it in jazz. When faced with all the adversity I was still able to maintain the gift of making music and playing my horn. I also have accrued new creative technicality and some developmental listening skills with the music I love. Brainstorming while being home opened a plethora of ways to understand jazz and its expression. This song utilizes the epiphany moment I have had playing and experimenting with new musical ideas. From this song, I have made a new connection within myself and within the music.

6. PICKING UP THE PACE - Now having discovered the new capabilities of embracing my own music, constructing, mixing, and seeing myself in the work I do is a well engraved stepping-stone for more achievement. Now the real challenges of life present themselves in ways that add friction and adversity. Where do I start to build clientele that love the jazz instrumental music genre, and how can they reach out to me for available content? What if I don't have enough content? Are my skills adequate enough to please the average listener? This song shows the sense of urgency to just play with no barriers bogging down on the extreme self-criticism provoking what may be growth within a few melodic lines I could bolster. In my heart and mind I knew it was time to move making this song and more songs to be added in perpetual graduation.

7. BELIEVIN' - With success comes many challenges, obstacles, and paths that may lead to the unknown presented as familiar treads, but this song reminds in its melodies to stay focused with confidence not looking back through the past mistakes. It gives a sense of hope and courage to go through life's journey knowing there is an outcome and great success if diligently at work to achieve the goal of wealth.

8. POSSIBLE WAY THROUGH - All in all, it is through the hardships of life that we learn powerful lessons for ourselves and for others who depend on us. For this, it is necessary that I explain the way in which this song is constructed and why for the legitimate reason of making it through ( Makin' It Believable). One important aspect of musicianship in my opinion, would be the ability to be a giver through the rigorous detailed practices and applicable knowledge of performing at a top tier level to showcase to listeners who understand the development. The major counterproductive essence to this issue is the fact that it can be an ominous road and sometimes a tricky process for any strong musician to become worldly known for his or her expertise even if they know how to go about becoming a success. In this song, it attempts to show the effort, commitment, and future endearment sticking with the process and finding practical solutions through the thick fog of life's physical jungle. This is a possible way through recognizing the positive and negative eventful outcomes and being alright with the changes that may seem inevitable.

Even though there are many hurdles to jump to get to success, the only person that can block that goal is the one living inside one-self, the decision-maker. This song sets a reminder that I am in control of my destiny and I would love to continue performing showcasing this ability through the creations of Emani Booker Music. This is a major stepping stone for the advancement of my career and my life expectations. I appreciate all the support I receive and will work diligently on making my way to the top.
